How do I start this off. I’m typing this like 30 minutes after beating the level. It took me 14,032 attempts.
Overall, I think this level is really good. I’ve always liked Tally Hall as a band, and when I saw ASBCHazel make 2 levels with their songs, I knew I would eventually have to beat one of them. So when I realized that I was in the skill range to beat Hidden In The Sand, I immediately wanted to beat the level.
At first, this level was hard to do runs on, obviously, as this level was harder than anything I had ever beaten before. I eventually got pretty good at everything in the level. Except for the part right before the start of the drop, a ship and wave part.
This part was really hard for me. Spoiler: the wave was still pretty hard even when I was about to beat the level. The ship was really hard for me, mostly because of the way you had to go through the gap before the reverse gravity-pink orb combo. The wave was around the same difficulty to me.
Writing some of this on my phone, images won’t be here for a bit. Anyways, let’s skip a bit. Maybe a few days or so.
Fun fact: first time I got to the 30% wave I skipped a gravity portal
I managed to fluke from 54 to 75! I did literally half the drop first attempt, and didn’t die to the wave spam!
2 days after that, I got 80! (and got a heartrate monitor)
THE SAME DAY I GOT 92!
Then, I barely got any progress for the next few days. I thought this was gonna end up like Supersonic and Killbot, where I died far into the level, stopped getting progress, and dropped it.
I thought.
I beat Hidden In The Sand. After 14 THOUSAND attempts, it was over. My first extreme. I broke the cycle I started with Thanatophobia all the way in May 2022, almost a year ago.
… Now onto my thoughts.
… I actually really liked this level! You can probably guess why, since I like Tally Hall and Geometry Dash, but overall it is a great level. I think the hardest part is either the last wave or the 48 ship.
…That’s all I really have to say. I’ll probably go for another hard level in the future, but not now. I probably won’t keep it a secret, either.
Unless it’s a new hardest.
